With significant jury and non-jury trial experience, Josh Walker represents clients in both federal and state court litigation at the trial and appellate levels. Josh represents a wide range of clients, ranging from Fortune 100 companies and nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, device manufacturers, medical providers, and other professionals. He is an experienced litigator and has successfully defended his trial record through the appellate process, with substantial experience appearing before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and Florida’s state appellate courts. Josh’s practice areas include:

  • General liability
  • Governmental defense
  • Professional liability
  • Products liability
  • Commercial litigation
  • Noncompete disputes
  • Trade secret theft

Josh devotes a significant portion of his practice to helping clients analyze risks and avoid potentially high exposure, high profile claims. In addition to managing his litigation practice, Josh serves as the Litigation Manager for insurance risk pools and self insurance trusts, where he develops and supervises corporate litigation guidelines and processes, analyzes high exposure claims, and coordinates the litigation plans and trial efforts of outside defense counsel. Josh’s clients value his early strategic assessments of a case developed through both a business and legal perspective.

Josh also served in the United States Army and the Florida Army National Guard as an Air Defense Artillery officer deployed in support of Operation Noble Eagle. He was appointed as the Commandant of the Officer Candidate School for the State of Florida, where he taught small unit leadership and combat principles to aspiring officer candidates. Firmly believing that “platoons seal the fate of armies” – S.L.A. Marshall – Josh continues to train young leaders in the principles of organizational leadership and technical proficiency. Josh retired from the Army at the rank of Major, and he remains active in the Veteran community.
