Julie Geary earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school Julie was a member of the trial team, where she competed in numerous trial team competitions, advancing to the Final Four in her first competition at the Chester Bedell Mock Trial competition.
Upon graduating law school Julie served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. While at the Public Defender’s office Julie zealously represented numerous indigent clients in matters ranging from minor traffic infractions to serious felonies. She was able to resolve countless cases through effective pretrial strategies, depositions, motion practice, and negotiation. Julie gained invaluable trial experience serving as both lead and co-counsel on misdemeanor and felony trials.
Prior to law school, Julie served in the U.S. Army National Guard and later spent nearly a decade working as a Defense Contractor in the Central Florida area.
