Managing Partner Josh Walker won a major court victory, successfully defending against numerous catastrophic injury and wrongful death lawsuits. His work in a prior appellate proceeding established that mental health providers have no duty to warn of the dangerous propensities of a mental health patient. Pollack v. Cruz, 296 So. 3d 453 (Fla. 4th DCA 2020). With this legal precedent, Josh successfully argued for dismissals with prejudice of 36 lawsuits arising from a mass shooting event. This will effectively conclude the lawsuits for his client, and fortunately comes early in the litigation before the need to mount a costly trial defense.
